Virtual Studio Assistant:
Over the last 10 years I’ve worked as a visual artist, arts administrator and curator. In that time I’ve shown and installed art at artist run spaces, non-profit art galleries, sculpture parks and museums. While also working with a range of artist, from emerging to established and I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about what works and what doesn’t. As an artists I’ve maintained being in numerous group and solo shows year after year because I seek out opportunities that fit my artwork, and continue to reinvest in my art practice.
As artists we want to spend all of our time in the studio making art, but to have a successful career in the arts you have to spend tons of time applying for shows, maintaining an online presence and building an audience for your artwork. That’s where I come in as your virtual studio assistant, doing all the paperwork, so you can focus on the artwork.
How it works:
I start with a studio visit and consultation (virtual or in-person depending on location) where I can access your needs and desires as an artist and learn more about your unique art practice. In addition I will do an assessment of your web presence, and a critique of your website and social media accounts and the quality of your images.
A key part of this assessment will be learning what your goals are as an artist: solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, sales, grants, awards, larger audience or inclusion in collections. From there I will create a plan that fits your individual needs.
I charge an initial consultation fee of $75, and charge $20 an hour for any future work.
